Beverley Kadish

   Director and Senior Occupational Therapist

As the practice founder and owner of Write Start, Beverley is passionate about working with families to see children achieve their full potential at home, school and in the community. She graduated in 1991 in South Africa and has worked across a range of settings including hospitals, community health centres, special schools, private practices and specific multidisciplinary assessment and treatment clinics.

Beverley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, as well as post graduate training in Sensory Integration and Neurodevelopmental Therapy. She is a dynamic therapist who likes to create fun, challenging sessions for her clients and provides parents with support to understand their child’s needs and advocate at schools  for their needs as well as educating the teaching staff.

Beverley has a special interest in Sensory Processing Disorders, Fragile X Syndrome, Developmental Co-ordination Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders and school readiness. She is also a member of the Fragile X Alliance.

Ingrid Levin

Senior Occupational Therapist

Ingrid is a dynamic and passionate therapist who has worked in the field of paediatrics since qualifying with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 1995. She worked across various settings including remedial and mainstream schools and private practice, and ran her own practice for 18 years. She moved from South Africa to settle in Melbourne with her husband and 3 children in 2018. She has post graduate training in Sensory Integration.

Ingrid enjoys creating a fun, playful space to engage children to learn and develop confidence so that they can reach their full potential. She has a special interest in Sensory Processing, gross and fine-motor skills, visual perception, hand writing and school readiness.

Carli Goldberg

Occupational Therapist

Carli graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor in Health Sciences and Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Occupational Therapy Practice. She is an enthusiastic and motivated occupational therapist who has worked in paediatrics since graduating, and has experience working with children with Learning Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Difficulties, and varying degrees of fine and gross motor skill deficits.

She works closely with students and schools in the area of handwriting development in both one on one and group settings. She provides support to parents and families for their children by advocating for their needs in the school environment, and implementing strategies for teachers to use in the classroom. Carli is passionate about working with children to promote everyday independence and participation in activities at home, kinder and school settings.

      

Tayla Levinthal

Occupational Therapist

Tayla has completed her Master of Occupational Therapy Practice at La Trobe University. She also has a background in psychology, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Arizona.

She is passionate about working with children and using a strengths based approach to help them reach their full potential. Tayla actively looks to incorporate creative approaches into therapy sessions to keep children engaged and motivated.

Tayla has experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays, to complete every day activities and reach as much independence as possible.

Outside of work, Tayla loves to travel, play soccer and spend time outdoors.

Jenna Kadish

Occupational Therapist

Jenna is passionate about working with children and their families to encourage independence and participation in the home, school and community. She completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the Australian Catholic University.

Jenna uses a strengths based approach to motivate and engage her client’s to work towards achieving their goals. She understands the importance of using a  collaborative team approach and providing strategies and support to parents, teachers and other team members to implement in the home and school environment. Jenna has experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fragile X Syndrome and other developmental delays. Jenna enjoys building lasting relationships with her clients and their families to support them to reach their full potential.

Demi Goldberg

Occupational Therapist

Demi has a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Years and Primary Teaching. She is certified in Ayres Sensory Integration® and has a special interest in supporting children with Sensory Processing disorders, as well as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
With over a decade of experience in the disability sector, she is dedicated to working collaboratively with families, therapists, educators, and other supports to help clients achieve their goals across clinical, educational, and community settings. In schools, she has extensive experience supporting handwriting development through both individual and group interventions.
She uses a child-centred approach in her play-based therapy to enhance motivation and engagement while working toward sensory processing, gross motor, fine motor, and handwriting goals.

Talya Sack

Occupational Therapist

Talya is an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a passion for improving quality of life, promoting participation and engagement, and achieving the best possible outcomes with her clients and their families.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice, Talya has gained experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder.

Her interest areas include fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, handwriting and school readiness. Talya is passionate about supporting children to participate in meaningful occupations and finding creative ways to provide therapy. She enjoys working in collaboration with families, therapists and other supports to achieve the child’s goals with a practice approach of client-centred care and evidence-based practice.

Jade Rybalov

Occupational Therapist

Jade is a graduate Occupational Therapist who completed her Bachelor’s of Occupational
Therapy at La Trobe University. Post graduation, Jade volunteered in Africa teaching maths
and English to children in primary school.
Jade is passionate about working in paediatrics and supporting children to participate in
meaningful everyday activities. She values a collaborative and individualised approach,
working closely with families to create engaging therapy experiences that support individual’s goals.

Candice Bracka

Practice Manager

Meet Candice, our vibrant Practice Manager, who greets everyone with a warm smile and infectious energy. With a degree in Arts and extensive experience in administrative and customer service roles across various medical practices—and as the office manager of an art gallery—she brings a unique blend of skills to Write Start.

Candice oversees billing and all administrative processes, expertly managing payments and funding from FaHCSIA, NDIS, Medicare, and Private Health Insurance. She coordinates our team and provides essential support to our therapists, ensuring smooth operations in managing children and families, day-to-day tasks, therapy support duties, and resource creation. With her keen eye for detail and impressive memory, Candice is an indispensable part of our practice.

Tracy Ryan

Bookeeper

Tracy is our dedicated behind-the-scenes bookkeeper, bringing over eight years of experience to Write Start. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that our financial records are in perfect order, allowing our therapists to focus on what they do best. A true perfectionist, Tracy approaches her work with precision and a methodical mindset, making her an invaluable asset to our team.
